The father and son relation ship is a complex phenomenon that scientist still don't fully understand to this day. For some reason sons tend to have a need for certain emotional gratification. The four basic emotional things they need is they need to know they matter. They need to know that their father loves them and they need to know that they are important to him. Lastly they need to know that the father is proud of them and what they do. The movie click that we just finished today was a good example on how the son urns for the fathers approval for what he does. In click the son becomes an architect because the father was also an architect. They also did a since were they have the son come in the dads office years after the son becomes and architect. They have the son come in and show the dad some build plans and ask if the father is proud. This a perfect example strait from the articles we had to read. The movie road to perdition plays into this commentary too. The part where the father in road to perdition says to his son do ever think this is your fault. The father is trying to making sure that he doesn't think it was him that was responsible. That's my boy is a grate example of several of the parts of the father son relationship. Adam Sandler doesn't want to give the kid up because he wants the kid to grow up thinking his father loved him. He also lets the kid wear whatever he wants too.
