Forrest Gump is one of those movies were if you say the name everyone knows what your talking about. The reason for most of this is because of the heart breaks and life lessons Forrest teaches us is not only ok but part of life. He shows the need to shake it off and movie on because good things will come, some even unexpectedly. Just like Gump's mother said "life is like a box of chocolate you never know what your going to get. This film ligers with people who watch it of all ages and different backgrounds. The reasoning behind it is because of the numerous life lessons that come through. Every time something bad happens to him he comes out of it better then before. Which applies to what his mother said that life is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get. One might be more bitter then the other chocolate but their both still sweet at the end.  Lt. Dan is my favorite dynamic character. In the begging of the movie when Forrest is in Vietnam  Lt. Dan is a pretty nice guy until he gets his legs blown off. Then when there back in the hospital in nam and in New York  Lt. Dan  has some brake downs because he was suppose to die in the war also he has no legs so he's not happy about that. After New York when they get the shrimp boat and start making some money he becomes at peace with what happened to him. Then during Forrest's wedding he had prosthetics and was smiling and walking again with new appreciation of what he has in life. He wanted to die in the war like his ancestors but life is a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get.
